Marriage was something Asuka really had never concidered even in her youth. She saw her life as an endless battlefield at this point, and her only role in it as a pilot and solider. The idea of settling down with someone, making a home, and just enjoying life was an alien thought that had never crossed her mind

...but this was Samantha we're talking about, the girl she loved more then pretty much anything besides her Eva.

So Asuka calmed herself, took several deep breaths (nearly hyperventilating in the process), and calmed herself enough to speak.

"Can I think about it...?" She said meekly.
