"It's nothing!" Fingon didn't have the heart to tell his father anything just yet. Fingolfin was alive and Fingon was hugging him, that was all that mattered. "I'm alright- but-"

He pulled back a little bit but his father was alive and well. Fingon had cried when the bloody banner had been brought back to him, the grief making him feel as if his heart would burst into a million pieces.

He had barely any time to allow himself to grieve before he was crowded and the duties of High King placed on his shoulders.
