What: The MINGLE LOG for Week One of the Asgard Eventide Reunion!

[ OOC NOTES: Whether you're making a return to the city or this is your first time setting foot into Asgard, the gods and Natives alike sure are happy to see you. As a note: we were super fortunate to have a few of our old NPC handlers volunteer to pick up their old Gods for the reunion! We currently have Hel, Heimdall, Baldr, Thor, Freyr, Mimir, Honir, Asgard!Loki, and also Frigg available for threading. If you'd like to request an appearance from one of these kids, please say so in the title of your comment. Some of us may make our own top-level as well, so be on the lookout for that! A million thanks to our NPC team for being so fantastic, we love and appreciate you so much.

"Ok..." Asuka slowly murmured as she gazed at her meal in a manner much different then before. "I'll have an answer for you soon, I just have some thinking that I need to do before I can."

Asuka's gaze was long and distant, but her mind was firmly on Sam and weighing if she wanted to spend the rest of her life (in Asgard) with her. The answer was yes, she very well knew that. But being married? She never liked the word, because for her it only represented the broken family she had when she was small.

But, if anything, she knew Sam wasn't like that. She would leave her for someone else or toss her aside like an old doll.

That yes might take a little bit to come out, but come out it would in time.

"I know. And I know I'm asking a lot," she said softly, looking down at the hand in front of her. She was still managing to eat at a decent pace but her mind was on the girl in front of her, foot nudging forward to brush against her ankle. "Take all the time you need."

She chuckled softly and glanced at the crowd as it started to thin. "On another topic, though... If they have a museum... I want to see it. Just for the laughs."

"Do you think they have a statue of me?" Asuka laughed awkwardly as she attempted to change the subject.

She chuckled a little, grateful that the abrupt change of topic had been taken up. A quick nod followed. "There's a lot out there, but they're kind of generic," she said, glancing down in the distance towards one and keeping her voice low. "Bet some of us get our likenesses chiseled while we're here, though."

"I've always wanted a statue devoted to my greatness." Asuka lived on adulation and praise, and what greater show of both was her likeness chiseled in marble. "Though knowing my life they'd screw it up somehow."

By now her meal was mostly gone and her eyes and thoughts began to wander. "So where are we going to sleep tonight? Is the old apartment still there?"

"Nah. Pinch is gone too, so we're staying in one of the houses, at least for the moment," she said, looking around. "Baldr's should be quiet, compared to the others. It's always been one of the smaller houses, so we could probably have a little peace and quiet there." Admittedly, whoever was downstairs or next door wasn't going to be getting a lot of peace and quiet if she got her way. Tension from earlier aside, the look she gave Asuka said that she wanted to do things, lots of things to her when they were alone.

"And we just need to make sure and get them plenty of pictures, to make sure they get it right, eh?"

That was a place she remembered well. She had lived there for quite some time, and was nearly miserable the entirety of the time she was there. Her housemates were weirdos and it was a always a bit annoying trying to sneak her lover in and out every one in awhile as well.

But, beggars can't be choosers and she needed somewhere to stay and do "things" with Samantha.

"I'm sure you'd rather be the one taking pictures of me, right." Asuka tried her best to sound sexy, but came across more as cute and/or awkward.

It definitely came off as a little of all three, and it had her face scarlet as she got up quickly and reached down for Asuka's hand. "I know it's ... hell, we both know it's forward. Screw it, I want to get out of here. Now."

She coughed, looking around. "You know... to ... uh, take pictures. For the sculptor." Yeah, those were totally the pictures she was taking, and if the sculptor ever used them, there'd be a real scandal in Asgard.

Asuka nodded in the positive, there was much to be done and none of it was thing they could do in public.

"Lets get going then." she said as she took Samantha's hand. "To take those pictures I mean!"

The tension between them could be cut like a knife, and it was likely that the others around them to could pick up on that fact as well.

"Yeah, pictures, definitely pictures." And she was holding Asuka's hand, hustling her in the direction of Baldr's house as fast as she could. Hopefully they wouldn't get impatient on the way...
