What: The MINGLE LOG for Week One of the Asgard Eventide Reunion!
When: March 1-7
Where: Anywhere in town!
Rating: PG-13 tops! Anything higher than that should be taken to a private log, please.

[ OOC NOTES: Whether you're making a return to the city or this is your first time setting foot into Asgard, the gods and Natives alike sure are happy to see you. You can feel free to make your own headers, create your own events, or post your own logs elsewhere as you please. Please put [OPEN/CLOSED] along with the time/location of your character in the title of your comment.

As a note: we were super fortunate to have a few of our old NPC handlers volunteer to pick up their old Gods for the reunion! We currently have Hel, Heimdall, Baldr, Thor, Freyr, Mimir, Honir, Asgard!Loki, and also Frigg available for threading. If you'd like to request an appearance from one of these kids, please say so in the title of your comment. Some of us may make our own top-level as well, so be on the lookout for that! A million thanks to our NPC team for being so fantastic, we love and appreciate you so much.

"You know they will totally let us use a kitchen. Now come on, let's explore!"

Fist in the air, she turned to star looking around the buildings, seeing what had changed. She even stopped to look in shops, amazed at the differences and how people had advanced in all this time. "Shit, look at this stuff."

[bythewaves]

"They certainly seem obliging." Maglor agrees and falls into step with her.

"Look here - they did not have this the last time, I think?"

He marvels softly at all the colour around them.

"And folks are much more cheerful."

[everysecond]

"Woah, I don't remember seeing that before."

Riley pressed her face to the window to look inside. Had this candy shop always been there? She sure didn't remember it before!

"Yeah, right? They're real people now."

[bythewaves]

"They all seem so happy." Maglor agrees, watching Riley as much as as everyone else.

"As do you, sister! Shall we go in, do you think? I am not used to candies from other places. Perhaps we can ask for a sampling?"

[everysecond]

"You aren't? Fuck! Come on!"

Grabbing him, she pulled him after her into the shop to go find her favorite treats. There was no way in hell he wasn't going to be getting a sampling of the shit in here. It was a crime he hadn't already!

[bythewaves]

"Whoa!" He protest but lets her drag him without resisting.

"No, not really - I've never been much of a sweets person, apart from cakes and tarts. All of this..." He waves at the profusion of lollies and candy and chocolate. "Is a little beyond my experience."

[everysecond]

"Don't care. You're trying stuff." Sweet tooth or no sweet tooth, she wanted him to try the stuff. To experience the things she'd come to love while living here. He shared the joys of Elven wine and honey cakes with her so this was her returning the favor.

Which was why she was going about and just grabbing things. A little of this and a little of that...

[bythewaves]

"Can we actually eat that much?" Maglor follows her through the store and just boggles at all the things on offer. "I don't even recognise some of these things... is that a jelly snake, why would someone want to eat a snake..."

[everysecond]

"Who cares if we can't? I'll eat the rest later. Besides, you're thinking about it too much." Tossing him a gummi candy, she grinned at him. "Eat it."

[bythewaves]

"You will make yourself really sick."

Maglor points out amusedly, and blinks at the gummi. "Why... is it shaped like a small teddy bear?"

[everysecond]

"Eat. It."

She lifted a brow then pointed crossed her arms to wait.

[bythewaves]

He eyes her and then the gummi.

"Ah well. I suppose it will not kill me, after all."

Down the hatch!

He blinks.

"Huh."

[everysecond]

"Well? What do you think?"

Because right now just his face was hilarious and she was trying to not laugh.

[bythewaves]

"....sweet, and an unusual texture. Also the flavour is... strange? But not unpleasant."

[everysecond]

"That one was supposed to be orange I think." She grabbed one of the same color and popped it in her mouth then nodded. "Yep. Orange."

[bythewaves]

"It did not taste much of orange." Maglor opinions doubtfully. "I could possibly argue for vaguely possibly citrus, but not actual orange."

[everysecond]

"Probably because it's not a real orange." She shrugged then went about getting some more candies before going to pay for them. Only to be told they were on the house.

"Shit, thanks!"

Waving for him to follow, she went to go head up to a rooftop.

[bythewaves]

"Then they should call it something else!" Maglor objects with an amused shake of his head and follows her out.

"They are very grateful - I feel almost as if I am taking advantage!"

[everysecond]

"Oh please. You are being too literal. And just enjoy it!"

Plopping her ass down on the roof, she let her feet dangle as she tossed him a chocolate once he was there with her. "Try this next."

[bythewaves]

"Well perhaps I like being literal!" Maglor laughs softly and follows her up.

"Is this one supposed to have a funny flavour too?"

[everysecond]

"Good question. Guess you better try it."

And she gave him a cheesy grin before popping a candy of her own into her mouth.

[bythewaves]

He rolls his eyes at her and bites into it.

"Ai! Well this one is clearly mint."

[everysecond]

"With chocolate? How do you like that one?"

She gave him a nudge to get him to tell her his opinion.

[bythewaves]

"Yes." Maglor blinks and then nibbles again thoughtfully.

"Mm, it... is quite good, actually. An interesting combination, but not a bad one."
