What: The MINGLE LOG for Week One of the Asgard Eventide Reunion!

[ OOC NOTES: Whether you're making a return to the city or this is your first time setting foot into Asgard, the gods and Natives alike sure are happy to see you. This is a catch-all mingle log for Week One! Please check HERE for a run-down on what's cookin' this week. You can feel free to make your own headers, create your own events, or post your own logs elsewhere as you please. Please put [OPEN/CLOSED] along with the time/location of your character in the title of your comment.

As a note: we were super fortunate to have a few of our old NPC handlers volunteer to pick up their old Gods for the reunion! We currently have Hel, Heimdall, Baldr, Thor, Freyr, Mimir, Honir, Asgard!Loki, and also Frigg available for threading. If you'd like to request an appearance from one of these kids, please say so in the title of your comment. Some of us may make our own top-level as well, so be on the lookout for that! A million thanks to our NPC team for being so fantastic, we love and appreciate you so much.

[ When she checks her hat, he can't resist flicking at it with a finger to knock it off-kilter a little bit. ]

It's almost like the whole family's together again, yeah?

[Why does everyone keep doing that. Her precious, old and stained hat. Clementine may briefly pout a bit but not for long as she quickly and easily rightens it.]

It is! Or...I think so. Most of us seem to be back at least. From what I've seen and heard.

[Well, as much family as anyone could be without actually being related by blood. Living together as she had with Eight and the others, and how close she came to some friends she made here, it's as good as. Even if Clementine herself might not quite have actually admitted aloud to that.]

[ Because it's just sitting there tempting them! ]

Even people that weren't there at the end.

I think I've seen the odd person who I didn't recognize at all.

[And not the locals. But Clementine is trying to focus on the positive. To be grateful for the chance to see him and everyone else once more. And with the celebrations, it doesn't quite seem as if things were so tense like last time with the war.]

[ Some Doctors. So that's pretty nice. ]

Yeah. At least this time it doesn't.....seem like we're being brought here to fight.

[This time. The atmosphere seems too cheerful for that. Or so she figures and hopes, anyway. She's content enough for now. Seeing the familiar faces she has recognized and been grateful, glad to see again.]

No. I think this time was a happy mistake. Not that I'm complaining.

A 'happy mistake', huh? Well, I guess it isn't wrong. Everyone here does seem pretty happy. I'm still not sure how much of a mistake it was though. It is different, this time.

[Obviously. Some of the people, the setting itself. But also in the way they arrived, though she can't really complain. Clementine is just naturally a little wary still.]

I dunno, usually a big influx of people like this is an accident, and the gods seem pretty surprised.

They do. But in a good way, I guess. It's...always nice to see old friends again.

[Especially friends one thought was dead. Her reunion with Kenny was proof enough of that, even back home. Let alone Asgard, with the way this place could reunite people with their actual dead friends and family.]

And sometimes bittersweet.

[ There's something about the way she says it, like she thinks about it in a ... not exactly pure happy way. But seeing old friends you were sure you'd never see again can be quite sad. ]

Hm. It can be....

[Because of various reasons. Mostly to do with death, or that otherwise, aside from Asgard, they would never have met. Which is the case for Clementine and most everyone else here aside from the brief time Lee was around. Still, she's trying to make the most of it.]

So what've you been up to here? Just trying to find people? Seen Eight around?

Hm. People watching, mostly. Trying some of the food. But anything's better than the stuff back home at this point. Haven't seen him yet. It's hard to say just who is back and who isn't. Is he?

[She looks almost hopeful, almost pleading as she asks, wanting to know her pseudo-guardian at Asgard was back too.]

Haven't seen him either.

Guess we could always have a look on the bracelet. But then you spoil the surprise of seeing him in the crowd.

I'll try the bracelet if I don't see him around? But at the very least, I can ask if anyone else has seen him, for now.

[She really does want to know if he's here. Eight was the one that she immediately bonded with after all.]

Guess we'll see who finds him first. Or we could look together, I suppose, but we'll cover less ground that way. The city's bigger too, it seems.

Like a race? I can be pretty fast. But I don't mind if we look together. It's probably a good idea to stick together for a bit while we figure things out. Maybe I can help you look for Clara or one of the others you are looking for too!

[Because yes, this does seem rather larger in comparison to her time here previously. They may not cover as much ground, but together, they would have an extra set of eyes to hopefully not miss anything in what they do cover.]

Right! We can help each other keep a lookout. [While enjoying each other's company and figuring out this new setting of sorts. The layout of where things are, trying out the food and experiencing the celebrations together.]

[ Hope she hasn't forgotten about hand holding. The Doctor is ever so fond of hand holding, and he doesn't hesitate to reach for her hand. ]

[She gives a nod, barely stopping to think on it before instinctively reaching for his hand. It's a comfort thing. One she isn't sure she'll ever stop doing, if she's somewhere new, keeping the one person she trusts and knows close. Every time, there's always a slight pang as she thinks of Lee, how he would always take her hand and lead the way, but there are a few others she is comfortable enough to latch to like this. The Doctor being one of them.]

[ Off they go, then! With the goal of covering the whole city, but the Doctor being the Doctor, they'll undoubtedly get distracted somewhere along the way. Several times. ]

[Clementine won't mind. She's used to wandering, used to being distracted. Or, she is and feels safe enough to around Asgard, around him. Besides, if such distractions lead to some other reunions or obtaining food or something, she really can't complain to that end. Not at all.]
