What: The MINGLE LOG for Week One of the Asgard Eventide Reunion!

Rating: PG-13 tops! Anything higher than that should be taken to a private log, please.

[ OOC NOTES: Whether you're making a return to the city or this is your first time setting foot into Asgard, the gods and Natives alike sure are happy to see you. As a note: we were super fortunate to have a few of our old NPC handlers volunteer to pick up their old Gods for the reunion! We currently have Hel, Heimdall, Baldr, Thor, Freyr, Mimir, Honir, Asgard!Loki, and also Frigg available for threading. If you'd like to request an appearance from one of these kids, please say so in the title of your comment. Some of us may make our own top-level as well, so be on the lookout for that! A million thanks to our NPC team for being so fantastic, we love and appreciate you so much.

Like it's something you forget.

[ Of course she remembers. Of course he remembers too. Though memories might fade or be erased, emotions tend to linger, like they're on another plane from the rest of the world entirely. And aren't they? They must be.

He brushes his lips over her forehead, and presses them down on the top of her head, breathing in her scent. Sinking into her warmth. All of her. ]

[sheloves]

Mm, every part of me would remember even if my mind did not. [Ril is content to stay like this, letting out a breath carefully. Everything in her, somehow, would remember. It is a powerful thing, emotion, and they have so very much of it.]

I remember, in the end when I faded away from Asgard, knitting a blanket in the sun. Gold yarn rolling down the steps. I think I dreamt of the faces I most loved, of you, of our adventures. [She buries herself against him, her voice muffled.] I thought it would be light, Doctor, but it was dark and swirling...and then I was here again.

[She reaches to touch his face, quiet.]

Home.

[ He tilts his head into the touch, the smile never waning. For her sake, if anything. ]

Dark and swirling, huh? People seem to always have different stories to tell about that.

[sheloves]

It could have been a passing cloud, who knows. [It is good that she has him to touch. And good that he is smiling. That nudges her onward and she is more wistful about it than sad. Her fingers slide against his cheek slowly and she hums.] Perhaps, as always, I was trying to find you.

[And then she''s laughing as she boops him on the nose.]

Here we are, though. [She inches up a little to turn her lips against, well, wherever they happen to fall, and she is all joy.] Found.

[ She's free to kiss him as much as she likes, of course. And wherever she likes. For now, he is too caught up in watching her. ]

Impressive, really. I'm not easy to find.

Somehow it seems effortless for you.

[sheloves]

Like seeks like. [Her fingers touch his chin and she smiles as she leans up a little more.] And you [Ril drops a kiss against his lips, light and soft.] ...you pull me in like you have a strange gravity.

[Her fingers fall from his chin as she shakes her head minutely.]

You always have.

I don't think we're ever actually apart. We're in orbit around each other. We just get further away sometimes.

[ But it seems they always end up coming together. ]

This is a truth. [She sighs and shifts, burying her nose against him. It is fabric and the scent of him and she finds she is at ease once more.Her voice, when she speaks once more, is muffled.] It is good to be close again, my Doctor, and the universe is, for once, being kind.

Every now and then it gets the idea it wants to be kind.

[ Once, he had the idea that the universe owes him something. Like the universe really cares at all about how many times he's saved it.

Doesn't work that way.

He presses his lips to the top of her head, and closes his eyes. ]
