What: The MINGLE LOG for Week One of the Asgard Eventide Reunion!
When: March 1-7
Where: Anywhere in town!
Rating: PG-13 tops! Anything higher than that should be taken to a private log, please.

[ OOC NOTES: Whether you're making a return to the city or this is your first time setting foot into Asgard, the gods and Natives alike sure are happy to see you. This is a catch-all mingle log for Week One! Please check HERE for a run-down on what's cookin' this week. You can feel free to make your own headers, create your own events, or post your own logs elsewhere as you please. Please put [OPEN/CLOSED] along with the time/location of your character in the title of your comment.

As a note: we were super fortunate to have a few of our old NPC handlers volunteer to pick up their old Gods for the reunion! We currently have Hel, Heimdall, Baldr, Thor, Freyr, Mimir, Honir, Asgard!Loki, and also Frigg available for threading. If you'd like to request an appearance from one of these kids, please say so in the title of your comment. Some of us may make our own top-level as well, so be on the lookout for that! A million thanks to our NPC team for being so fantastic, we love and appreciate you so much.

Freyr actually doesn't give Kanji the time to recognize him- instead, he's just easing himself into the seat across from him with a little smile, hands wrapped around a cup of his own that he seems to have conjured from thin air.

"It's nice to see so many familiar faces back," he says gently, as if commenting on a benign weather change.

Kanji nearly jumps right out of the seat in question as he realises who's addressing him again.

"H-heh. Yeah," he says, laughing slightly and settling back down. "I still can't get my head around it. Not bein' here. This whole ... hundreds of years thing ..."

"It must seem like a very long time for all of you," he says, pausing to hum thoughtfully and take a short pull from his tea. "Hopefully the return wasn't too jarring."

Kanji snorts. Yeah, probably seems like last Friday to the gods. "Right. And ..." He frowns. "It was ... kinda a shock, not gonna lie. I'm glad to be back, but... it just came outta nowhere..."

"It wasn't on purpose." His smile flags a little bit, fades into something almost apologetic. "We had no intent to disturb your lives again. Your arrival is as much a surprise to us as it is to you."

Now that's really got him looking surprised. "You ... is anythin' goin' on here? Or just the party? I mean, I don't mind comin' back for party time, but..."

He ducks his head slightly, as if sheepish as he shakes it. "Nothing dangerous. Just the celebration, which-" Oh, how had it been put? "It's not easy to build a path that only allows movement one way. I could see about trying to send you back home sooner, if you'd like, but - it should sort itself out on its own soon."

"Tch. Don't worry 'bout it. You lot have more things on your minds anyway, huh. As long as things work out like they did before, I ain't worryin'." Which isn't quite true... but more in the sense that he'd really like to be able to remember those missing years of his life when he's back home.

"Things will work out," he promises, and then smiles again, despite himself. There's true joy behind his eyes and in his expression now - the lines of worry and guilt that used to crease his face are gone. "Better, this time - there's no war to fight."

The smile's infectious - "It was great seein' the place comin' back together after we were done. But seeing it now... it's amazing. I wouldn'ta dreamed of seeing it like this."

He ducks his head a little shyly, but the smile is still clearly there. "That's one of the reasons why I'm so happy you are all back. You deserve to see this."
