What: The MINGLE LOG for Week One of the Asgard Eventide Reunion!

[ OOC NOTES: Whether you're making a return to the city or this is your first time setting foot into Asgard, the gods and Natives alike sure are happy to see you. As a note: we were super fortunate to have a few of our old NPC handlers volunteer to pick up their old Gods for the reunion! We currently have Hel, Heimdall, Baldr, Thor, Freyr, Mimir, Honir, Asgard!Loki, and also Frigg available for threading. If you'd like to request an appearance from one of these kids, please say so in the title of your comment. Some of us may make our own top-level as well, so be on the lookout for that! A million thanks to our NPC team for being so fantastic, we love and appreciate you so much.

1: Arrival
[ you should believe kaworu when he says "We will meet again" because he means it and this totally proves he is right.

As Kaworu realizes where he is and the memories flood back into him, the first thing he does is, of course, to find Shinji. While the natives gather around him with kind words and even hugs that kaworu is so not used to, his objective remains always the same: find Shinji. But as he does so, he also finds himself wondering if he'd have a chance to talk to those who have left even before the war ended - like Allen. But he hopes to see familiar faces as well, faces he hasn't remembered for such a long time. As he searches and wonders, he is given food and drinks - the later, he politely declines because kaworu doesn't want to be drunk.

And as so, if he does recognize you - even if you've never really spoken to him, but he saw your face somewhere - Kaworu will approach, with a bright and happy smile ]

2: Kaworu's lantern aka cuddle monster
[ by mere curiosity, he looked at the lanterns up close and realized they had names on it. And by mere chances, his was one of the first ones he reaches for, causing it go glow brightly; the trinket he received (a small plush of Adam) will be kept safely in his pocket, but it's the flow of energy that makes him move again and search for a traveler like himself.

The first he finds, he will come closer and be all up in their personal space, with a big smile, happy and glad not only to be here but to see someone else ]

I'm so glad to see you again.

3: Stealing Shinji's lantern
[ after his own, Kaworu decided he wouldn't be grabbing other people's lanterns to make sure they all would receive their imitation of home like it happened with his own lantern, but as he notices the name "Shinji" on another lantern, he doesn't wait. Kaworu reaches for it, instead of a gold light, it turns red and he realizes he can't release himself form it.

After a couple of attempts, after trying to break free his hands, kaworu politely asks a native what to do and is old to search for a God. With little choice, he does so, though he probably won't understand if they tease him. ]

[ Well, this could explain why Shinji spent several minutes aimlessly walking past lantern after lantern and not finding his own. He saw name after name of people he vaguely remembered (Rue and Henry), some he might not have cared for (Equius).

Such names he came across even included Lavi and Ninian. Which surprised Shinji. He almost wanted to reach for them but he resisted and let the lanterns be. It didn't change the fact that the pilot now hoped he would see them. He wanted to see that tall redhead with the gentle smile whom he wanted to get to know more and spend more time with. He also wanted to see his big-sister figure of a friend again so he could apologize for worrying her so much and keep protecting her and keep trying to make her smile/laugh.

But most of all? He hoped he'd find Kaworu's latern. Or find Kaworu, in general. Shinji's pace may have gotten faster in his walking/searching around. He would spend an entire day searching for the angel if he had to. He would search in the dark if need be. The ring that he had given to Kaworu was long gone now, it seemed. But he still remembered. He hoped Kaworu did too. If he is here, that is.

When he comes across that familiar tuft of silver hair, Shinji's blue eyes widen and he almost runs as he approaches the other boy. He tries to get their attention. Oh, he hopes he's not wrong on this one...! ]

Kaworu-kun! Is that you?!

[ said tuft of silver hair probably has flowers on it now because the natives are that sort of festive. At first kaworu is distracted looking for Shinji as well, but when he hears his voice, say no more - he looks around and only when his red eyes finally find the boy, he actually seems to relax.

Up until then, he didn't even realize he was tense. But as the angel sees Shinji, everything fades away and that person is there and that person is what matters.

He is quick to walk through the crowd to meet the other boy, though overall he still seems rather calm, the way kaworu is. It's hard to rile him up, and no matter what happens next, he is just so glad and so happy to be able to see Shinji once more. Kaworu smiles at him, gentle as always and though the lantern in his hands is in the way, he comes as close as possible - what is personal space? ]
