What: The MINGLE LOG for Week One of the Asgard Eventide Reunion!
When: March 1-7
Where: Anywhere in town!
Rating: PG-13 tops! Anything higher than that should be taken to a private log, please.

[ OOC NOTES: Whether you're making a return to the city or this is your first time setting foot into Asgard, the gods and Natives alike sure are happy to see you. This is a catch-all mingle log for Week One! Please check HERE for a run-down on what's cookin' this week. You can feel free to make your own headers, create your own events, or post your own logs elsewhere as you please. Please put [OPEN/CLOSED] along with the time/location of your character in the title of your comment.

As a note: we were super fortunate to have a few of our old NPC handlers volunteer to pick up their old Gods for the reunion! We currently have Hel, Heimdall, Baldr, Thor, Freyr, Mimir, Honir, Asgard!Loki, and also Frigg available for threading. If you'd like to request an appearance from one of these kids, please say so in the title of your comment. Some of us may make our own top-level as well, so be on the lookout for that! A million thanks to our NPC team for being so fantastic, we love and appreciate you so much.

Kevin clings to the elf as if Maglor can fix everything.

"It was a Djinn. She possessed all the Djinn. Rahel... We weren't friends but... We worked together sometimes. She wouldn't have killed me on her own."

Maglor rocks him a little, as if he were still young again, all but wraps around him as if to drive away all that threatens.

"Oh Kevin." He murmurs softly, heartbroken. "I am so sorry."

He cries quietly, face buried in Maglor's shoulder.

"I don't know if anyone else made it. I couldn't see. Everything happened too fast."

[bythewaves]

Maglor croons to him softly, comfortingly. He knows that feeling very well from the other side.

"Ah my brave boy. Such a man you became. Do you want to ask? We could see if the powers here could tell us. But no sacrifice is ever in vain - I believe that."

Kevin nods, wiping his eyes.

"I hope it's not. I... didn't like a lot of people but I didn't want everyone dead."

[bythewaves]

"And that, my brave lad, is the proof of the greatness of your heart."

"I don't know. Cherise might agree. But most people would say that's just normal."

[bythewaves]

"I would not." Maglor smiles at him fondly, sad and proud.

"I have known many who would let others die."

[fire_punk]

"I've known some, too, but... They all were fucked up, too. More than me."

[bythewaves]

"Maybe so - but some folk need no excuse, they are simply selfish. That you did not let your circumstances shape you is greatly pleasing and a mark of the greatness of your heart."
