What: The MINGLE LOG for Week One of the Asgard Eventide Reunion!

Rating: PG-13 tops! Anything higher than that should be taken to a private log, please.

[ OOC NOTES: Whether you're making a return to the city or this is your first time setting foot into Asgard, the gods and Natives alike sure are happy to see you. As a note: we were super fortunate to have a few of our old NPC handlers volunteer to pick up their old Gods for the reunion! We currently have Hel, Heimdall, Baldr, Thor, Freyr, Mimir, Honir, Asgard!Loki, and also Frigg available for threading. If you'd like to request an appearance from one of these kids, please say so in the title of your comment. Some of us may make our own top-level as well, so be on the lookout for that! A million thanks to our NPC team for being so fantastic, we love and appreciate you so much.

Maria had found it strange at first that people in later times had become so much more demonstrative with those they had affection for, but after a year in Asgard and growing to care for those who had come under the wing of the Brotherhood, it was with much greater ease that she embraced the younger girl- well, with as much ease as she could with Sef to think about.

"It's good to see you too Riley, though I think it's been far longer for you than it has for me."

She pulled back to have a good look at her, taking in any changes that had occurred in her since they had last seen each other.

"You're looking really well."

Darim nodded emphatically, even though his attention was on his lollipop.

"Heh. Yeah. I lived here a long time."

She rubbed her head a bit with a cute little girl. The kind that said she might be a little embarrassed but there was a lot of pride in all the growth she'd made too. How could there not be really? She'd come so damn far since her time here. Even she knew that.

She'd... She'd just needed good people who believed in her. Like the Assassins.

"How you been?"

It seemed strange to think that those who stayed behind in Asgard had lived whole lifetimes while it had only been a matter of just over a year for her, although it had been a busy year at that. Masyaf continued to grow and flourish under Altaïr's guidance, Darim had grown into the stout, confident little boy who was now contentedly sucking on his candy and watching Riley with bright, curious blue eyes and Sef... Sef had nearly half killed her coming into the world but that was an injury she had no desire to recall or hold against the baby in her arms.

"Busy and productive," she said, glancing down at Sef briefly as he grumbled into her shirt before turning her attention back to Riley. "But it has only been a year for me, tell me of what's it's been like for you. What has it been like here for you?"

She could see from the way the girl held herself now that there was a maturity and wisdom there that spoke of a life well lived, and she was keen to learn more.

"A year? Damn. It's been...a lot longer for me. Actually it's really weird to have lived a life here then come back and be a teen again."

She gave a laugh and a shrug. Then she reached over to touch Sef, just a gentle touch to his hair before letting her hand drop again. He was really cute and looked so innocent. Obviously he hadn't witnessed the shit the world had yet and she was kind of...loving to see that innocence.

"I got to become a full Assassin. Like, moved on up the ranks."
