What: The MINGLE LOG for Week One of the Asgard Eventide Reunion!

[ OOC NOTES: Whether you're making a return to the city or this is your first time setting foot into Asgard, the gods and Natives alike sure are happy to see you. As a note: we were super fortunate to have a few of our old NPC handlers volunteer to pick up their old Gods for the reunion! We currently have Hel, Heimdall, Baldr, Thor, Freyr, Mimir, Honir, Asgard!Loki, and also Frigg available for threading. If you'd like to request an appearance from one of these kids, please say so in the title of your comment. Some of us may make our own top-level as well, so be on the lookout for that! A million thanks to our NPC team for being so fantastic, we love and appreciate you so much.

"I am sure you did more than you know." Maglor smiles at her. "It certainly sounds as if you worked very hard!"

A chuckle.

"Well, you are still young - you will get stronger, with time and practice! You did very well here, after all!"

[tea_rs]

"I wonder if it's because I was always running around..." She had so much work to do! And so many pets to take care of! And she thought work at home was busy.

"It's a little strange to be back and see everything so different, but... I'm glad. I have so many important memories from this place..." Her smile is fond, if a bit melancholy. It's definitely sad to know that she'll probably have to leave again at some point and lose the memories all over again, but for now at least...

For now, she can remember, and celebrate with all the people she had left.

[bythewaves]

"Perhaps! You did work very hard when you were here." He smiles at her fondly.

"We all do, eh? I am so pleased to see you all again, and to know that you are doing well."

[tea_rs]

"I never got to help out so much before!" After all, in her own world, she doesn't have any particular abilities... "I just wanted to do as much as I could."

But right, they're in Asgard once again!

"Have you seen many of the others? Everything's so different now!"

[bythewaves]

"And you did, I remember." Maglor twinkles at her. "I remember our brave healer friend always trying to keep us cheerful."

He nods. "Riley is here, so I must assume Ellie must be as well, although Ihave not seen her yet. I have found my Kevin, and Elrond, as well as Hamel, Master Braxiatel and the Doctor, as well. Have you found anyone yourself?"

[tea_rs]

"Eh-- Brave is a little..." Strong is the word that comes to mind, since she isn't really. She just wanted to be useful is all.

"I met Hamel-san, but so far it's just been him and you! I got distracted trying to catch that lantern." But, well, in Asgard, it's hard not to get caught up in these sorts of things.

[bythewaves]

"You were." Maglor says firmly. "Do not despise the courage of a gentle heart - and yours is a great one indeed. Ah, and that must have given you both joy, eh. The lanterns are great fun, though, are they not?"

[tea_rs]

She's not even going to bother arguing - it's hard for her to believe, but she also doesn't want to dwell on such things at a time like this. Instead, she nods eagerly at the mention of the lanterns.

"Uh-huh! I still can't believe they have lanterns for everybody... " So many people had passed through this world, and yet, each one seemed to have a lantern of their own.

[bythewaves]

"Nor I! There are names here that I am sure where never here the last time - did you know I found one for my cousin?"

Maglor chuckles softly. "He got a toy of his first horse. Magic, I am guessing. What did you get?"

[tea_rs]

"Your cousin?" Oh wow... she doesn't remember ever meeting a cousin of his, so they must not have been here. But... wait, that means--

"There's others being brought here, too?" She thought they were just pulling the same souls again...!

"Oh, um... I got a little gusk-san!" She fetches the plush toy from her pocket.

[bythewaves]

"That is what it seems, aye! Not many... but... one or two, here and there." He nods and smiles to see the little toy.

"Ah, Hibiki, that is sweet! From your world to this, eh? A little piece of home. How long do you think you will stay?"

[tea_rs]

"Uh-huh! It's a little gusk - they live in the forests where I come from. There were a bunch that lived in the forest around my ho-- My home, for a while." Although that place no longer exists...

But ah, as for staying-- "I'm still not sure... I don't want to leave Shii-chan for too long again." What she means is, she doesn't want to be without Shii-chan for long, but. She doesn't want to dwell on that, either.

"What about you?

Maglor nods, understanding.

"An even more precious piece then, if they are from so close to you! And I think I will stay - there is... no one at home for me."

[tea_rs]

...Oh. She can't keep her smile through words like that. Her expression becomes solemn; concerned.

"...Do you... have anybody here...?" If he had even just one person, at least...

[bythewaves]

"Ah now, do not weep for me, Hibiki." He ruffles her hair again.

"I am quite happy here, I assure you. And perhaps you could visit, hm?"

[tea_rs]

He says this as though she weren't one of the hugest crybabies ever. Somehow, she gets the feeling she might not be able to avoid it...

"I... couldn't even come here before, though." A whole 600 years had apparently passed while she was gone. How is she supposed to make it back against odds like that...?

[bythewaves]

"You did make it back eventually." He points out kindly. "I think all of us returned home - I remember being here for a long time and then... I was where I was before. So perhaps it runs in cycles."

[tea_rs]

That gets a look from her that's both curious and hopeful. "Cycles...?"

She already doesn't get it, but if he really does think there's a chance, then maybe...!

[bythewaves]

"Well - you know the story we were told when we first got here, yes? Death and rebirth. So... cycles, aye? I wonder if coming and going here is the same."

[tea_rs]

"Cycles..." Of just returning and coming back? Huh...

"So you mean... after this, maybe we'll all be here in another six hundred years...?"

She's trying. She's trying so hard.

[bythewaves]

"Maybe!" Maglor shrugs. "It would be nice if we did though, do you not think? A regular reunion, of sorts."

[tea_rs]

"Maybe..."

Although the more she thinks about it...

"...Won't it be weird to keep coming back after so long, though?" It's not that she minds returning, it's just... well, it's already odd to think that the last time she was here was practically ancient history.

[bythewaves]

"Perhaps? Six hundred years is not so long to me, but I suppose it can seem so. But we do not know, after all, if this is mere fortunate chance, or something regular, eh?"

[tea_rs]

Surprises all around today. "H-huh?"

It's that first part she's totally hung up on, her mouth agape. "But... six hundred years is a really, really, really long time!"

She can't even figure out a better way to describe it than that. The scope is just too large to her.

[bythewaves]

"I suppose it might seem so!" Maglor laughs at her surprise softly.

"But for one of my people it is not quite so."
