MINGLE LOG: WEEK ONE

Who: Everyone!
What: The MINGLE LOG for Week One of the Asgard Eventide Reunion!
When: March 1-7
Where: Anywhere in town!
Rating: PG-13 tops! Anything higher than that should be taken to a private log, please.

[ OOC NOTES: Whether you're making a return to the city or this is your first time setting foot into Asgard, the gods and Natives alike sure are happy to see you. This is a catch-all mingle log for Week One! Please check HERE for a run-down on what's cookin' this week. You can feel free to make your own headers, create your own events, or post your own logs elsewhere as you please. Please put [OPEN/CLOSED] along with the time/location of your character in the title of your comment.

As a note: we were super fortunate to have a few of our old NPC handlers volunteer to pick up their old Gods for the reunion! We currently have Hel, Heimdall, Baldr, Thor, Freyr, Mimir, Honir, Asgard!Loki, and also Frigg available for threading. If you'd like to request an appearance from one of these kids, please say so in the title of your comment. Some of us may make our own top-level as well, so be on the lookout for that! A million thanks to our NPC team for being so fantastic, we love and appreciate you so much.

"The very best." Maglor runs his hand through Elrond's hair.

"He misses you too."

He stilled at the implication, despite the comforting hand through his hair.

"Elros...Is there?" It made him want to follow Maglor from Asgard even more.

Maglor doesn't stop, knowing Elrond will need this comfort.

"He is. As is your father."

He did. More than he'd realized, especially with that last bit of news. His eyes closed as he tried just to breath through the sudden pounding of his heart.

"Are they happy?"

"Yes." Maglor murmurs softly, soothingly.

"Your brother is ever so pleased to have a chance to see your father. And they both miss you. Your father is a very kind man, who has not turned me away despite rightfully despising me. He longs for the day you Sail and can meet him again in truth."

Maglor had always had a good effect on him. Elrond let himself relax under the kindness.

"I miss them as well... Would you tell them?" Regret touched him then. "I hardly saw him when I Sailed. It was a short journey, for a meeting I had waited for."

"I will. I will hope that you might find that road, only I do not wish for you to part from your lady so soon. And as for your father... well. He is busy, eh? I am sure you will have the time to know him - you have all the time in the world, now."

He sighed quietly and kissed Maglor on the cheek. "She would hardly speak to me again if I left once more." Wry. But fond at the same time. "I would not have come here at all if I did not know no time would pass."

And then there was a shy light of hope. "We do. I will have to make sure he makes use of the chance."

Maglor startles at the kiss and smiles at him shyly in thanks.

"Mm yes, that is a highly useful part of this world, eh?"

A fond smile. "I am sure you will succeed."

Elrond leaned his forehead against Maglor's with a fond little smile.

"It is quite useful," he agreed.

"Just as I will make use of the time spent here, with you." Whether he'd have to hunt Maglor down each time or not.

"I imagine so!"

Maglor intends to abuse it for all that it's worth, this is for certain.

"Ah yonya. There are surely others here you will wish to see?"

A fond little nudge with an elbow and a gentle smile.

"I will. But for now it is you I wish to spend time with. I will see if Riley, Alice, or Kevin are here later."

Not getting rid of Elrond just yet, Maglor!

Maglor smiles back at him fondly.

"Well then. I have been told our old places are all abandoned and knocked down, but we are welcome to new ones, for our stay. Shall we see if we can find a place with a kitchen?"

That was too bad, but not terribly unexpected. Elrond nodded and stood, reaching to tug Maglor to his feet with a little smile.

"I miss your honeycakes." And everything else the older elf would make.

Maglor snorts, amused. "You and Riley both. She has already threatened to steal some. I trust you will defend your portion!"

He chuckled, squeezing Maglor's hands fondly. "It is no fault of ours that you are the better cook."

And laughter was clear in his gaze. "I might not see if she is fast enough!" His little aunt was fast for a human.

"I am sure you are decent at the least, by now!" Maglor tuts at him in mock disapproval.

"Or did all your lessons come to naught."

That gets an agreeing chuckle. "True, but surely not faster than two younglings who once terrorised me?"

"Yes I am fair enough. That does not negate my preference for you to cook." Oh so serene.

Elrond reached up to tug on some of Maglor's hair once more. "Perhaps not, though I may just let her win." Oh did he say that? >3

"You should remember I do not forget any lesson I have been taught."

"Lazy!" Maglor tsks. "Whatever would your lady say if she could hear you."

"Elrond!" Maglor huffs at him in mock surprise. "Well now that is a surprise, that you would willingly cede your favoured treat!"

A fond smile. "That I remember well."

"If you were to cook for her, she would understand!" Because his Celebrian had a big heart.

Elrond stifled a grin, laughing eyes glittering at his foster father. "You do recall what your beloved sister does, correct?" Teaseteasetease~

"As you should. It has been extended to my work in Imladris." A place of safety, of comfort. And of learning.

"Ah now, I am not getting into that argument! Critiquing a lady's cooking is always fraught with peril, e'en if she be not present."

A raised eyebrow. "I remember - I also note none of us have our old abilities, right now~"

Maglor nods, fond and pleased. "I am glad. I heard the tales and was pleased to see that things went well for you."

Innocent. "I would do no such thing. I would simply comment that I enjoy your cooking and I am certain she would wish to see for herself." So reasonable!

Elrond hummed softly. "I think it may help keep the peace. Levels the field, as one might say."

A soft, pleased little smile. "I am glad you kept an eye on me, even if you never did visit near enough for me to see."

Maglor snorts, amused. "At least you know well how to speak pleasant words!"

He nods. "Well considering some of the folk you were here before I wonder if it was deliberate."

He ducks his head shyly. "I did not wish to interrupt your life but ...I could not stay away entirely."

A serene blink. "I learned well."

Elrond inclined his head, acknowledging the point. "As long as there is no repeat and the peace remains." aka no chance of Maglor dying again.

A gentle squeeze to a hand. "I would have liked an interruption if it came in the form of you visiting. In lieu of that, I am glad you came near enough to know some of my life."

Another amused chuff and Maglor cuffs him lightly.

"So you did."

Look it was only the once...

"Aye - I hope so as well! I wish I had known but... either way I am glad to have this chance now."
